Six times a year I have an existential crisis (and not even because of my kids-ha!). These crises neatly correspond with the beginning and end of the semesters. There are a number of boring reasons for this and as it is my general policy not to talk too much about my day job here I will spare you the details. Suffice it to say I have been plagued by insomnia and driven to 9 pm snacks of peanut butter mixed with chocolate chips chased by a cold beer. Ah, therapy!
This week and next are filled with meetings and doctors appointments and the like, making things even crazier. But, the weather is cooling off some so it is perfect for playing outside with neighbors in the evening or meeting friends at the park in the morning or just sitting and watching the rooster chase the hens around.
I am reading a bunch of random books right now including this and this and this. What are you reading? I need something to knock my gosh-darn socks right off.
Here are some recent reviews.
The Mercedes Coffin by Faye Kellerman Well Enough Alone by Jennifer Traig
And, nu, how are you?
