Citizen Beta

This is the time of year I say that I would tell you my picks for best books of the year but that would mean having to think about it and remember things and I am just not mentally capable at the moment.  I always say that don’t I?  So, like always, I am asking you what you liked, loved, even hated this year.  Doesn’t have to be newly published, just new to you.  Maybe I will get my act together and join in the conversation, inspired by you.  Also, I have a gift certificate to a favorite local bookstore so need some suggestions. 

While I feel like I have been reading as much as ever, I obviously haven’t been writing about it here.  I will do better in 2009 (or something like that!)!
